Project Summary: STOP BULLYING

The "STOP BULLYING" project, funded by Erasmust, was a collaborative initiative involving five countries: Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, and Romania. The project aimed to address and combat bullying in schools through an international partnership that fostered the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions.

Project Context

• The project was developed in response to the growing need to address bullying and its negative impact on students' well-being and academic performance. By bringing together schools from different countries, the project sought to create a comprehensive approach to preventing and managing bullying.

Objectives:

The goal is to develop the skills needed to stay safe in different environments (at home, at school, in public spaces, online), handle challenges in these environments, and know where to seek help if students feel bullied, offended, or if their rights are being violated.

The partnership has realistic and achievable objectives:

  • Enhance Language Skills: Strengthen communication skills across all areas, emphasizing the role of multilingualism and multiculturalism in the modern, dynamic world.

  • Promote Intercultural Dialogue: Develop intercultural dialogue through practical research activities and information exchange, in the fight against racism and xenophobia, to create a reasonable future based on active citizenship.

  • Support the Integration of Students with Disabilities and Disadvantaged
    Backgrounds: Facilitate the integration of students with disabilities and those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds who have difficulties completing their studies through project activities.

  • Improve Entrepreneurial Activities for Young Europeans: Enhance entrepreneurial activities and skills for young Europeans.

  • Assist Educators and Students in Using ICT: Help teachers, educational staff, and students acquire or improve their use of ICT to create and disseminate educational resources and best practices.

  • Enhance Digital Skills: Enrich digital skills using innovative, learner-centered pedagogical approaches and by exchanging best practices.

  • Develop Effective Assessment and Certification Methods: Create appropriate methods for assessing and certifying knowledge.

  • Share Results and Processes: Share the developed resources and methods


    Participants:

    • The project involved educators, school administrators, and students from six countries. Each partner contributed their unique perspectives and experiences, enriching the overall approach to tackling bullying

    Results and Impact:

    The project successfully raised awareness about bullying and provided schools with practical tools to address the issue. Participating schools reported a positive change in the school environment and an increase in students' confidence in reporting bullying incidents.

    Long-Term Benefits:

    • The project's long-term impact includes improved school climates and strengthened international cooperation on bullying prevention. The resources and strategies developed will continue to benefit schools beyond the project's duration, contributing to a more supportive and respectful educational environment.
